Become a SATURDAY DOCENT or WEEKDAY MUSEUM VOLUNTEER at the Colma Historical Museum! No experience necessary – just a cheerful smile, a love of Colma History and a few hours weekly or every few weeks. The current team of docents would love to have you join us! DOCENT on a Saturday from 12 to 3 once every few weeks (not every week!). MUSEUM VOLUNTEER during the week. Flexible weekday hours when the public is not generally present. The CHA Museum is currently open on Saturdays from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. and is staffed by a small group of volunteer docents. You will be oriented by an experienced volunteer to help in any of the following ways that you would enjoy: Saturday Docents: o Greet visitors and ask about their interest in visiting the museum. o Orient visitors briefly to the museum. o Answer general questions about Colma and its history. Volunteers: o Research historical topics o Maintain and create exhibits o Maintain and update computer records o Serve on committees such as hospitality, tours, membership, and public outreach o And much more!
